  • Jose "Joe" Vasconcellos

    Owner/ Head Instructor

    Meet our owner and head instructor, Professor Jose Vasconcellos. A seasoned first-degree Relson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Phil Cardella. with an impressive 20 years dedicated to Jiu-Jitsu and over 30 years of combined martial arts expertise including Taekwondo and Hapkido. Joe is a dynamic force in the world of martial arts winning many gold medals at various weights in NAGA, COPA, F2W and FFBJJ tournaments. Most recently Joe won a Blackbelt Super fight at Gracie Jiu-Jitsu St Augustine and brought home gold medals in the rooster weight blackbelt division in Gi and Nogi at IBJJF Miami Open.

    Joe specializes in sport Jiu Jitsu and teaching Relson Gracie self-defense techniques suitable for all ages. He also has extensive experience in bully-proofing programs for children as well as tactical grappling for law enforcement officers.

  • Trent Vasconcellos

    Coach

    Trent started his Jiu Jitsu journey at 6 years of age under 5X World Champion Daniel Moraes. Starting competition at a very young age he won gold medals at Copa FFBJJ and F2W tournaments. At only 23 years of age, he has 17 years of experience in Jiu Jitsu and also experience in Taekwondo and Hapkido. He currently holds the rank of purple belt under his father Professor Jose Vasconcellos.

  • Gavin Vasconcellos

    Coach

    Gavin started his Jiu Jitsu journey at 5 years of age under 5X World Champion Daniel Moraes. He has competed in COPA and FFBJJ tournaments taking home gold medals in the children's divisions and is now starting his adult competition career. Now 22 years old with 17 years of martial arts experience consisting mostly of Jiu Jitsu but also including arts such as Taekwondo and Hapkido. He currently holds the rank of purple belt under his father Professor Jose Vasconcellos.

  • Brandan Anderson

    Wrestling Coach

    Brandan has 12 years of grappling experience and coaches both wrestling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. In 2020, he was ranked #1 pound-for-pound in No-Gi at the New Breed Championship and #4 in Gi. During high school, he achieved a 34-4 record in his senior year and was ranked 7th in the state of Florida in 2016. A passionate advocate of the Wrestle-Jitsu movement, Brandan lives by the motto: “Big Don’t Spell Bad.” Brandan currently holds rank of purple belt under Professor Jose Vasconcellos

  • Angel Arboleda

    Coach

    Angel is a martial artist with over 10 years of experience, currently holding a purple belt in Jiu-Jitsu under Professor Jose Vasconcellos. Angel has trained at world-class academies across multiple disciplines, including Muay Thai, Judo, and MMA. As an avid coach, he is passionate about helping others progress both physically and mentally.

  • Kailyn Vasconcellos

    Kids Coach

    Kailyn started training martial arts at 6 years of age. She started training Taekwondo and then moved to Jiu Jitsu which would become her passion. She competed in BJJ Grand Prix and NAGA tournaments and recently started her adult competition career. With her love for children, she has proved to be a great asset as our kid's class coach. She currently holds the rank of blue belt under her father Professor Jose Vasconcellos.
